2025 PARP Meeting and Open House
Join us for our annual PARP Meeting and Open House
PARP Meeting - Attend our meeting to get your required PARP points for your Private Applicator License. We will be discussing some of the newest sprayer technologies available and one in particular we think might revolutionize the sprayer industry. Here is a short outline of the topics we will cover:
- Precision Spraying with AI: Hitting weeds, not your wallet!
- Purdue PARP Topic - by Kenny Eck
- PWM Nozzle Basics
- PWM controlled nozzles have been around for a while, and we have discussed them in great detail at previous meetings. However, these nozzles are the foundation of future spraying systems. We will touch on the basics and some important sprayer maintenance items.
- AI in the Air, Precision on the Ground
- The next step up in technology is using HD Scouting and drones to create variable rate and spray/no spray areas. AI can identify weeds using high resolution images taken by drones, which then can be used to create spray prescription maps.
- See and Spray Options
- There are over 20 different companies with some sort of see and spray technology, and they aren't all created equal. Learn about brown on green, green on green, and per plant variable rate applications. We will discuss 2 system in a little more detail; Carbon Bee and Precision Planting Symphony.
- Real-Time Sprayer Optimization with AI
- Real time sprayer optimization is a completely new concept to the application world. Cameras mounted on the sprayer us AI to actually measure the spray coverage on the leaves of the plants. With minor adjustments to speed, boom height, pressure, and other things, you can go from sub 20% coverage to well over 50% leaf coverage, allowing you to reduce your active ingredients by half and still get the same amount of product on the plant. Register now to learn about this exciting new technology!
Open House - Immediately following the PARP meeting and from 9:30am - 2:00pm on Thursday the 11th. Stop in and let's discuss these technologies and more one on one to see how they could impact your farming operation. We will have company reps on hand and also have planters, sprayers, and other equipment available for you to see the technologies. Lunch will be provided both days. Bring your friends and neighbors and enjoy some good food, networking with friends, and a great learning opportunity!
